This is a riveting tale that stays with you long you’re done reading it. To my mind, that’s the highest compliment a reviewer can give to a work of fiction. When I had finished reading this story, I was filled with a flurry of thoughts and reflections as I pondered the possibilities uncovered by the jaw-dropping conclusion.

Typically, we read such compliments as “Page turner” and “Couldn’t put it down” in five-star reviews, and such praise gets lost in its own overabundance of use. Yet, this story is so engrossing, so captivating, I had no choice but to read it one sitting. (Okay, to be honest, I got too tired to finish it and went to bed. But then, I got up at 3:00am to finish it.)

Yes, the characters and the fast-paced action are very well described, and everything else about this book is masterfully done. But what happens to the characters as the story unfolds is so engaging and thought-provoking, it’s best to simply say, don’t take my word for it; read it for yourself.

What a strange, well told tale. It grabbed my attention and wouldn't let go, so I finished it in one setting. Well done!
Not sure what I expected from this tale. The title had me believing that it would be completely different than it was. I enjoyed it very much and recommend it highly. Strong characters with a good story line always makes for a good book.
The plot sounded like a great idea exclamation Maisch in

The plot sounded like a great idea, however, it was not a great book. I was bored with it very early on, and skipped a few chapters near the end and just read enough to see how the characters' lives turned out.
Very good book. I enjoyed the story immensely. I was bothered only slightly by the author's overuse of ... Everything was dang ... I just wanted to scream use a damn period or fill the space with words, but stop with the damn dot, dot, dot. I would read more by this author and hope more comes.
I feel misled by all the glowing reviews. The characterizations are shallow, and the plot borders on ridiculous. I did finish the book, but I wouldn't recommend it. Older readers - you have been warned!
Oh my lord... I think my life has ended this book. This FUDGING BRILLIANT BOOK. I've never read a book so quickly, felt such an inmate and quick attachment to. My word, I'm sitting here late at night when I should be sleeping, sleep deprived, bags under my eyes, and I'm speechless. This book. This book... I think it might have changed my life. It's all about the choices we make in life and... I'm done. This book. I don't think I'll have a hangover from this because the ending was so perfect. Go grab a copy of this book, now. More details about why I love this book to come stat... aka, when I'm more awake in the morning. But I can assure you this book will chase you in the night, it will wreck havoc on everything you believe in and the choices you make. It will not go unremembered.

Now onto my more awake thoughts. I'll just cover some points here
-Very well developed character who aren't cookie cutter and have issues, major flaws. Something that is missing in most today's fiction.
-Writing books about time travel is not easy, yet Blackwell keeps it simple. Just like my life motto KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)
-The how and the why and the themes behind the time travel, yasss!!!
-Dialogue. Dialogue. Dialogue. More please.

I think the only problem wrong with this book is that there isn't more. Yet I am by no way disappointed with the ending.

So please, if you want your life ruined in a very good way, pick up The Timeweaver's Wager by Axel Blackwell.
Personally, I really enjoyed the book, I only gave 4 stars since there were a few spelling and grammatical errors. But overall, with every reveal and twist in the story had me on the edge of my seat. It is a little dark and heartbreaking but it was well worth the read. I loved the character development through out the entire book, and Blackwell's descriptions made it seem as if you are there in the story as well. I feel like he ended it well (make sure to read the epilogue, of course) and the story in general along with the included back stories are very complex and thought out. Most likely will read again in the future.
